Eternal Light: A Torah in Yisrael Yudkin's HY"D Memory
Dear Friends,
As many of you may know, our beloved cousin, Yisrael Yudkin HY"D - May G-d avenge his blood, was killed in Gaza while serving in the IDF. In accordance with our Jewish tradition, we seek to honor his memory by bringing more light into the world. To do so, we have decided to commission the writing of a Sefer Torah.
This Torah will honor Israel's life and legacy and serve as the first Torah for Downtown Sarasota, fulfilling a critical need in our community. It will be used during weekly Shabbat morning services and holidays, becoming a central pillar for Jewish life downtown.
Writing a Torah is a sacred act in Judaism, symbolizing the heart and soul of our faith. It requires communal effort, both in spirit and financial support. Our goal is to raise $75,000 to cover the cost of commissioning the Torah. Your support, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference.
We invite you to join us in this special mitzvah. In recognition of your generosity, we will include the names of all contributors in a special dedication ceremony once the Torah is completed & the opportunity to write a letter in the Torah.

The beautiful sterling silver crown that is prominently showcased above the Torah. The donor's name will be engraved on the crown.
MANTEL - $5,400
Two covers are needed for the Torah: one for year-round use and one for the High Holidays. Donors' names will be embroidered on the backside of the Torah cover.
BOOKS OF TORAH - $4,000
Dedicate one complete book of the five Books in the Torah.
EITZ CHAIM - $3,600
Dedicate the Torah rollers with your family name engraved on it.
YAD - TORAH'S HAND/POINTER - $1,800
Dedicate the Torah Yad.
SPECIAL SELECTIONS - $1,800
